Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics

Each spring Prescott police officers run or bike long distances carrying the Olympic torch to raise awareness of and to financially support the Special Olympics.  Nationwide, law enforcement organizations are the largest financial contributor to the Special Olympics, and the Prescott Police Foundation supports this worthy outreach effort.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Pink Patch Project

The Pink Patch Project is held each October and helps promote Breast Cancer awareness, as well as to raise funds for local breast cancer prevention and treatment. Pink Prescott Police Department patches are sold to the public as a fund raiser. Every year, the Foundation pays for the patches that the Prescott PD, in turn, sells to raise money for Breast Cancer research. In 2023, we purchased one thousand pink Prescott Police Department patches. We also contributed funds directly to the YRMC Breast Cancer Center.
